The company's founder, Mehmet Ali Kaplan, left behind a respected career overseeing major industrial projects across Turkey and Cyprus. In 1998, he chose to walk away from it all - trading certainty for opportunity - and moved to London with nothing but his skills, ambition, and the hope of building a better future for his family. That same year, he founded the company now known as Kaplan Construction, formerly trading as Tiger Construction and later Kobani Construction.

Kaplan Construction represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship and care in British construction, with a reputation built on quality, precision, and attention to detail. Evolving from decades of experience, Kaplan Construction continues to redefine modern building - blending timeless skill with forward-thinking design across renovations, extensions, bespoke homes, and commercial projects.

Looking Ahead

In recent years, Kaplan Construction has entered a new era under the direction of Yusuf Deniz Kaplan, the founder’s son. After completing a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Yusuf returned to the family business with a clear goal: to bring modern systems, digital tools, and structured processes into an industry that still largely relies on pen, paper, and tradition.

One of his main focuses is improving the client experience - something the construction industry often overlooks. Too many people are left feeling like they’re choosing contractors with their eyes closed, stepping off a cliff with no clear view of what’s ahead. At Kaplan Construction, we’re changing that. Through better communication, clearer processes, and smarter tools, we’re creating an experience where clients feel informed, supported, and in control every step of the way.
